~ History ~
Ophaboom was founded in 1991, by Geoff Beale and Howard Gayton. The history of the company can generally be split into three eras; The Early Years, which itself can be sub-divided into three periods, where the company went through a number of changes as it searched for it’s form. The Middle Years, where a period of stability of cast, and finances, allowed the company to hone it’s style and expand it’s touring network. The Later Years, when new members led to new directions and new successes.
Each of the periods is given a broad overview in the pages under the History banner, whilst the individual shows are covered in more detail in their own sections.
